Welcome to the 15 communities of the Lungau Region in the heart of Austria. Nestled between the Radstädter Tauern (Obertauern), Hohe Tauern and Nockberge mountains, the region is easy to reach via the Tauern Autobahn (A 10).
St. Michael, Mauterndorf, Mariapfarr, St. Margarethen and Tamsweg are all picturesque towns in our region – close to Obertauern and to Flachau.

Alpine skiing and snowboarding on over 150 kilometers of slopes, cross-country skiing on over 150 kilometres of trails, dozens of idyllic backcountry ski routes, peaceful winter hiking paths and sledge runs – the Lungau region is home to all of this fun and excitement, and so much more.

Our SkiLungau ski pass gives you open access to all the slopes of Grosseck-Speiereck, Katschberg-Aineck and Fanningberg.
If you are a skier, you can reach all of our snowy ski areas free of charge with our eco-friendly ski shuttles.
The LUNGO ski pass promises virtually boundless skiing – 300 km of slopes, from the Katschberg to the Lungau and Obertauern, all on just one pass!

When you stay at one of the participating partner businesses during your vacation you will receive your own personal vacation card valid for the complete length of your stay. Fill out the hotel registration card, and you will receive the LungauCard right from your accommodation provider. The LungauCard is valid for the entire length of your stay (from your arrival day to departure day), is non-transferable, and entitles you to free or discounted use of a variety of lifts, excursions, outdoor activities, attractions, museums, wellness offers, pools, and much more in Lungau.
