Caldonazzo is synonim for water sports on the lake, recreation and pleasure

The characteristic village of Caldonazzo, from which the lake takes its name, stretches out on a wide plain between the lake, orchards and the Centa torrent.

The small, charming village is ideal for a summer holiday. Life takes place on the shores of the lake, on the clean and spacious beaches, on the nearby campsites, in the typical restaurants, pizzerias or pubs. There is something for everyone: whether water sports such as sailing, surfing and rowing, or walks along the long promenade that runs along the shore, or relaxing on the beach or at the sailing club. Hiking and cycling trails lead past fruit orchards and hills to the church of San Valentino on the Tenna hill, to the Vezzena plateau or to the Valsugana cycle path.

Caldonazzo itself is characterised by small alleys and the residential houses typical of Trentino. The entire town is dominated by the crenellated silhouette of the Magnifica Corte Trapp (16th century), the residence of the noble Trapp family, where justice was once administered. Opposite it rises a 14th century church dedicated to San Sisto.
