Davos Schatzalp

Schatzalp is situated on a sun terrace 300 metres above Davos. From Davos Platz, the Schatzalp cable car takes four minutes to the mountain station, which is in the immediate vicinity of the Schatzalp Hotel. The Art Nouveau building was opened in 1900 as a luxury sanatorium and has been largely preserved to this day. Directly next to the hotel is the botanical garden, the Alpinum Schatzalp. On approx. 5 hectares of garden, a plant collection with over 5,000 different plants from all the mountains of the world is on display. Beautiful walking and hiking paths are laid out around the Hotel Schatzalp, which are already described in the novel the "Zauberberg" by Thomas Mann. In dry weather, the summer toboggan run provides fun and variety. In the dignified panorama restaurant, the fine food and refreshing drinks are spiced up with a dreamlike view.
