FURKA ZIPPER connects Davos with Klosters in a modern way.
Just in time for the start of the season on 17 November 2017, Davos is waiting for a new highlight for the winter guests, the "Furka Zipper". The 6-seater chairlift of the latest generation replaces the ski lift from 1972. The new lift ensures a fast and uncomplicated connection of the two winter sport areas Davos and Klosters.
The name "Furka Zipper" brings the new function to the point. The 6-seater chairlift Parsenn Davos connects with Gotschna Klosters like a zip and this is quick and uncomplicated. The First Class Lift transports up to 2500 persons per hour and shortens the journey from the Gruobenalp to the Parsennfurgga on five minutes. The new valley station is about 350 meters lower than the former station of Furka double skilift. The new slope is thus 400 meters longer and thanks to the new guidance also safer.
In future, the previous crossing of the slopes at the Seetäli ski lift will be omitted. The guests will take the the existing slope from the Gotschnagrat to the Gruobenalp, the valley station of the new chair lift.
The new system is the first D-Line system in Switzerland. The future-oriented cableway technology of the "Furka Zipper" provides the guests with the highest level of comfort during the operation. In addition, the "Furka Zipper" features a state-of-the-art seat heating and weather covers (bubbles).
