Galtür

With its wonderful high-altitude location and unparalleled glacier backdrop, Galtür is a special gem among all the attractions in Paznaun. It is located at the end of the high valley, and in 1997 was proclaimed the first place in Tyrol to be an official climatic health-resort. But it's not only the healthy mountain air and unspoiled nature in Galtür that are so special: The holiday resort also has one of the largest bouldering and climbing parks in Europe – a must for anyone who loves a challenge on the rocks.

The Silvapark bouldering area offers 160 boulder problems in 8 sectors and is thus ideal for beginners and children, but also makes true pros break a sweat with extremely difficult routes.

The mountains around Galtür also offer routes and via ferratas for novices and skilled climbers. Particularly appealing, with plenty of variety and fantastic views, is the prehistoric rock via ferrata "Silvapark", classified as moderately difficult to difficult, in the Silvretta.
The latest addition is the family via ferrata "Little Ballun", suitable for families with children.

Also special is the Alpinarium in Galtür. In addition to fascinating exhibitions, the award-winning building also has the largest natural stone climbing wall in Austria and an indoor bouldering-wall.

But not only climbers and boulderers have come to the right place in Galtür. Galtür also offers the perfect natural arena for hikers. Be it an unhurried leisure hike to one of the many serviced huts which serve up regional delicacies and specialities, or a challenging mountain hike as part of the High Route Paznaun. There's something for everyone here.

Tip: Galtür offers a varied programme for children, youth and adults. Several times a week, the Paznaun – Ischgl Tourism Association puts on leisure activities.
