Vichères is located in a magnificent panoramic position, facing the rising sun, above Liddes at the entrance to the Combe de l'A nature reserve.
The granaries, blackened by the sun, have been converted into comfortable chalets without losing the typical appearance of the old buildings.
Like many border regions, Liddes has been a place of passage since ancient times. Situated on a particularly sunny plateau, the village has been able to capitalise on the development of the Great St. Bernard axis.
