Zöblen - Zugspitzblick

From the parking lot at the western entrance of the village, head north through Zöblen, keep left at the junctions and cross the bridge. Pass a handful of houses (Untere Halde) and follow the paved path over the switchbacks to the Zugspitzblick (1300 m) on the Obere Halde.

Modern and well-maintained equipment (shoes, poles, and clothing) not only provides a significant level of safety but also makes winter hiking much easier. Don't forget sun protection (high SPF and possibly sunglasses) as well as enough fluids.

Note that winter hiking also involves an increased risk of accidents and injuries. Especially in winter, special attention must be paid to the condition of the paths. Suitable clothing, good footwear, and possibly trekking poles provide additional safety. Stay on the marked paths.
