Situated between the alpine town of Bludenz and the Arlberg, the Klostertal is open from both sides and has therefore always been an important trade and transport route and hospitality has a long tradition.

The valley offers opportunities for recreation as well as numerous sporting activities. Hiking, mountain biking, golfing, climbing and family activities are in the foreground.

Mountain lovers will find a wide range of easy and challenging hikes. Paths to sunny alps, cosy huts, magnificent vantage points and imposing peaks. The "Stebok-Wäg" to the Formarinsee/Rote Wand is recommended. This ensemble was voted the most beautiful place in Austria in the ORF television programme "9 places, 9 treasures".

Leisurely cycle paths and mountain bike trails of all levels of difficulty and altitude invite you to discover nature and the landscape. The Klostertal via ferrata on the Fallbach as well as various climbing gardens promise adventures for big and small climbing fans.

The Family and Adventure Mountain Sonnenkopf with the children's adventure park "Bärenland " is a worthwhile destination for families. Themed and educational hiking trails such as the "Sunna-Weg", the "Wichtel-Erlebnisweg", the "Wäldletobelweg" and the "Stebok-Wäg" provide pure adventure.

One of the most beautiful alpine 18-hole golf courses in western Austria in Braz rounds off the sporting offer. In Dalaas and Wald, hospitality dates back to the romantic days of stagecoach tourism. Braz is also the culinary centre of the valley with *two toque restaurants.
