In the middle of the village of Bächli, set off towards Hochhamm. The steady ascent demands something from you. But once you reach the destination, a reward awaits you. A magnificent panoramic view and a very cozy mountain inn that invites you to relax.
The snowshoe route starts in the village of Bächli, briefly along the road towards Schönengrund. After just under 100 meters, continue right up the meadow to the farm on the Brand. Cross the road again shortly towards the upper Brandstrasse and continue to the Brandwald, which is crossed completely, always straight ahead until a forest path crosses. Now slightly right on the path towards Hofstettli. At the Hofstettli junction, enjoy a great panoramic view and continue straight ahead to the farm and then slightly right again towards Hochhamm. Through two sides of the forest and now always along the left side of the forest.
The path continues through the woodland and the destination is shortly ahead. Between the trees, the goal, Hochhamm, is already visible. Either the ascent is already rewarded at the mountain inn or the route is continued to the highest point of Hochhamm.
Snowshoes, telescopic poles with large baskets, day hiking backpack (approx. 30 liters) with rain cover, possibly with avalanche airbag, comfortable and waterproof winter boots or sturdy hiking boots that fit into the snowshoe bindings, possibly gaiters, warm and durable clothing in multiple layers, ski jacket and pants, hat/headband, scarf, gloves, possibly ski goggles, sun and rain protection, provisions and drinking water, thermos with hot drink, first aid kit, pocket knife, mobile phone, possibly headlamp and reflectors, map material
