After a stroll through the pretty alleyways of Stein am Rhein, you dive away into Zurich's wine country, past the cozy, flower-decorated timber-framed houses in Stammheim. The idyllic Nussbaumersee lakes, small natural paradises, have no outlet and are known as dead-ice lakes.
Soon the Ittingen Charterhouse invites you to stop for refreshments before crossing the Thur to Frauenfeld, the capital of Thurgau. The route winds its way up and down through gently undulating countryside to Wil.

The route starts in Stein am Rhein at the railroad station, from here follow the signs for SwitzerlandMobility Route 33.
